Kentucky Listed As A Highly Watchable Team This Season

According to Kelley Ford on X, Kentucky has several games this season in which they will be in the top-10 in the watchability metric.

Throughout the fourteen week schedule (keep in mind two weeks are bye weeks), Kelley Ford has Kentucky in the top-10 on his best games to watch in basically seven of those twelve weeks. The first week that Kentucky finds their way onto Ford’s list is in their week two matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The following week, Kentucky’s matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs is listed as the sixth-best game to watch on his list, which I personally think is a little bit low — especially with that being a night game on a 7:30 kickoff time — compared to the other great matchups they’ll have.

Moving on to week five, Kentucky faces their first road game against Ole Miss but they still find themselves in the top-10. I think is a little low too considering if Kentucky handles business and has a good showing against Georgia this could end up being a top-25 matchup. Following this game, the next time you see Kentucky on Ford’s list is in week eight when they are again on the road and traveling to Gainesville to try to continue their winning streak against the Florida Gators. There are a bunch of good games scheduled for this week so this feels about right for the Wildcats’ landing spot.

In weeks nine and ten, Kentucky faces two very respected SEC opponents in Auburn at home and Tennessee on the road. These two games will be highly-rated games, especially if all teams involved are having success throughout the first half of their seasons as projected. After that, you won’t see Kentucky on the list until the twelfth (week fourteen) game of the season as they host in-state rival Louisville. That game in-and-of itself makes it a top-10 game of the week and Kelley Ford mentioned that all of these are subject to change throughout the season and will be updated on a week-to-week basis.

Football season is just over three weeks away for Kentucky. Excitement is building as fans mark off their tailgating spots next to Kroger Field and snatch up those last-minute tickets and parking passes to cheer on their Wildcats this coming fall.
