Finally, we’ve made it. After a long spring and summer, Kentucky Football is making its return for week 1 on the regular season.
In their last outing — from a totally different team of course — they fell just a little short to Clemson (38-35) in the 79th TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. It’s hard to believe that was all the way back on December 29, 2023 and we’ve went this long without Kentucky Football on our television, but now that wait is over.
As each game week begins, UK puts out the depth chart for the week’s game to announce to fans which players are expected to play and also who is scheduled to start.
Here’s the first official depth chart of the season!

Brock Vandagriff is QB1 with no question, looks like Demie Sumo-Karngbaye is in place of Chip Trayanum (injury) at running back, and a lot of familiar faces are back on the defensive line.
As we start the days leading up, what are your concerns/observations on the first depth chart released?
