Georgia Projected As A Major Favorite At Kentucky

We knew it was going to be bad, but now we have an official number to go off of for the spread of Kentucky vs. Georgia this weekend. As of Sunday morning, the Bulldogs are a 24-point favorite for their trip to Lexington.

Coming off a 31-0 shutout win over Southern Miss in week one, this team threw quite the clunker in week two against South Carolina as they went touchdown-less and lost 31-6, on their home field. A direct result from that this week is them being considered a major dog in their week three matchup against the nation’s number one team, a game many penciled in for a loss the moment the scheduled was released. Now with this most recent performance, it feels like all hope is out and the misery will continue for another seven days, fourteen if you ponder over it through the game week leading into Ohio.

To be honest with you I feel like the spread should be even higher than 24, but I’m sure it being a road game for Georgia cuts that down just a little bit. After yesterday’s loss, I sat and wondered what this atmosphere would be like and just how many people would even show up for it. Kentucky fans are the best so of course they will show up, but I definitely believe the vibe around the stadium will be more of “Let’s just get this over with” as they try to move on to week four healthy and re-juiced, accepting defeat before this one even starts.

It sucks that we’re at this point this early, but we’ve got a long gruesome season left in the conference so let’s buckle up and get ready for it.
