It’s finally game day and the Kentucky Wildcats are in Nashville looking for some postseason success. After awaiting Georgia and Oklahoma’s late night game in Bridgestone Arena, the Sooners were able to grind-out the win to stay alive for Thursday.

With the Oklahoma win, they get their rematch against the Wildcats after losing to them on their own home court in February. As you may remember, Kentucky squeezed out a 83-82 win behind a career-high 28 points from former Sooner, Otega Oweh.

As the lower seed and also losing in your one chance against each other, Kentucky will be the betting favorite for their SEC Tournament matchup. On DraftKings this morning, the ‘ Cats are a 6.5-point favorite to win. The over/under point total is set at 162.5 points.

In that game back on February 26th, Otega Oweh would receive some help from his teammates before scoring the last 18 points for Kentucky. Brandon Garrison would total in 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals, with an additional 9 points from Koby Brea. Jaxson Robinson only played in the first half before re-aggravating his wrist and missing the second half, and Lamont Butler would foul out with near double-digit minutes left in the game.

With Jaxson Robinson out for the rest of the season, Kentucky will have Lamont Butler and Andrew Carr at over 90% healthy and a passionate Otega Oweh and Brandon Garrison that own Oklahoma ties, ready to win this game. I think it’s going to be a close, hard-fought battle that will come down to the final minutes, with Kentucky winning their first SEC Tournament game in 1,098 days.
