
After having committed to the Wildcats over three months ago, the Croatian addition has now made it to Lexington and is on campus. Andrija Jelavic is now officially with the program as they ramp-up workouts to end the summer and prepare for the upcoming season that’s nearly here.
He showcased on his Instagram a picture from the Joe Craft practice facility on UK’s campus over the weekend, also showing off his personal locker in which he’ll wear number 4 for the Wildcats this year.
He was also previously spotted earlier in the day with his new head coach, Mark Pope, at what fans believe was the Cincinatti Open tennis event.
Andrija hails in from Zagreb, Croatia, measuring in at 6-foot-11 according to the team’s official site. Before coming to America, he played for Mega Superbet, where he averaged a stat line of 11.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals.
He is expected to be key piece to Kentucky’s roster this year, contributing with the other bigs like Brandon Garrison, Mo Dioubate, and Malachi Moreno. Jayden Quaintance can be group in this list as well, but he likely won’t be available (ACL) for the start of the season.
