Kentucky earns their second win in just two attempts to start the season, defeating Valparaiso tonight by nearly a million. The final score would conclude at 107-59, covering the 32.5 point spread with ease.
It would be a fun Friday night spent in Rupp Arena where the game was never in jeopardy and many, many Wildcats were able to find themselves on the scoreboard. Nine different Wildcats scored, with 6 different player hitting double-digits.

Georgetown’s own Malachi Moreno totaled 18 points — a team high — while also recording hist first collegiate career double-double. The stat line polished itself out 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block in only 21 minutes of action. Super efficient night for the homegrown talent.
He was followed right behind with 15 points from Otega Oweh and 14 from both Mo Dioubate and Collin Chandler.
Kentucky as a team finished with 107 points on 54.4% shooting from the field. They also made 11 three-pointers with 40 points coming off the bench.
Jaland Lowe would make his official Kentucky debut, compiling 6 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal in 18 minutes. He previously was out with a shoulder injury, approved to have limited minutes coming off the bench for this game.
Trent Noah was sidelined to an ankle injury suffered in the game before, so he DNP.
With wins over Nicholls and Valparaiso, the Wildcats are 2-0 at home and are headed on the road for their next matchup. On Tuesday, November 11, Kentucky will throw down in a ranked battle with the No. 11 Louisville Cardinals inside the KFC Yum! Center.
