It was a fun night back in Rupp Arena as the Wildcats get back into the win column, defeating the Greyhounds 88-46. Their 42-point win puts them at a 4-2 overall record, feeling refreshed and regrouped back at home.
Malachi Moreno and Kam Williams would get their first Kentucky start, forcing Brandon Garrison to come off the bench. Mo Dioubate (ankle) was ruled out before the start.
Kam Williams and Collin Chandler would lead all Wildcats with 13 points each, with Otega Oweh (11), Denzel Aberdeen (11), and Malachi Moreno (10) all contributing in double-digits right behind them.
Here are the final stats from the win.

It was an impressive night from Georgetown’s own, Malachi Moreno, in his first collegiate start which would round-out at 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, and 1 steal. He also notably had 3 blocks already by halftime! I personally have been pulling for him to start for Kentucky since the preseason, so I am glad to finally see it taking place — and it looks like it’s working.
As a team, Kentucky shot 48.7% from the field, going 37/76 in their attempts. From deep, it was one of the best they’ve posted all year, making ten three-pointers and going 37.0% from behind the line.
Some other stats that really stood out to me was their 52 points in the paint, and their 33 fastbreak points. Both are clear signs that the offense was flowing and that leads to exciting basketball. Tonight was a great dose of Kentucky basketball, that’s for sure.
Tonight’s win will have them off from game activities until next Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving, where they will be home in Rupp Arena to take on Tennessee Tech at 7:00 PM ET.
