If you have been paying any bit of attention to social media since the beginning on the Will Stein era at Kentucky, you have noticed how hard this coaching staff has been hitting the recruiting trail to build out the current roster and the future of this program. One thing I have noticed personally is how head coach Will Stein is prioritizing the in-state talent we have right in our own backyard.
During the Mark Stoops tenure, Kentucky really did get the best of the best of the in-state recruits and it is nice to see that this coaching staff still values that as well. When Will Stein came to Kentucky to be the head coach of the Wildcats, one of his first targets in regards to in-state recruiting was Brady Hull from Pulaski County, Kentucky.
He even sent a direct cameo to Hull within one of the first few days on the job.
Fast forward to today, just around two months since being hired, Kentucky has earned a verbal commitment from the talented lineman this afternoon.
The 6’3″ 290-pound offensive lineman is currently in his junior year at Pulaski County High School. Hull helped lead the Maroons to a state championship game where they ultimately fell short to the Owensboro Red Devils with a final score of 35-7. The Kentucky commit is a multifaceted lineman as he has played snaps at guard, tackle, and even under center. However, the most repetition has come for him at the tackle position.

Brady is listed currently as a 3-star recruit according to 247 Sports, but with a stellar senior season I wouldn’t be surprised if he works his way into a 4-star. He’s currently also tabbed as a near top-400 recruit in the entire country and a top-10 overall player in the state for his (2027) class.
Brady was highly sought after by college football programs and Will Stein had to put on the full-court press to land this commitment. Hull held offers from twenty-two D1 schools, with some of those including South Carolina, Duke, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Purdue, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and of course, Kentucky, including many other notable programs.
The staff is actively going after the studs from all over no matter what is attached to their name and it is a very exciting time in the Bluegrass. This coaching staff is putting a new energy into this football program and aren’t letting any historical narratives limit what they can accomplish, especially in the recruiting world. It will be fun to continue to watch how this staff attacks recruiting on both a local and national level, bringing in the “studs” and creating a great college football program.
