It took extra basketball today for the Kentucky Wildcats to secure the victory in the NCAA Tournament. It was a 89-84 win over the 10-seed Santa Clara Broncos to advance to the Second Round.
Otega Oweh led all players with 35 points, backed by 17 from Mo Dioubate and 16 from Denzel Aberdeen.
Otega Oweh hit a game-tying half court shot to send it into overtime, and shot that was heard all around the country.
Kentucky was able to ride the momentum and take care of business with newfound life for the final five minutes of action.

Kentucky shot 51% from the field, 36% from three, and 71% from the free throw. They out-rebounded their opponent 40-38 and recorded 11 blocks along the way.
