Former Wildcats in the 2026 NBA Summer League

The NBA Summer League is back in session and there are many former Kentucky Wildcats participating in it this summer. The games will take place from July 9-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on UNLV’s campus. The tournament will showcase 76 games shared between all 30 NBA teams, with the championship game coming on the final day, July 19.

Looking across the league, there are 15 former Cats on Summer League roster’s, with our list including players who also transferred out of Kentucky and finished their collegiate careers elsewhere. They still played in the blue & white at some point, so to me, that counts as “former Cats.”

Let’s dive in.

Across the 30 teams, there are right under half (14) holding Kentucky alumni. The Phoenix Suns are the leaders with two. The rest? One each.

Atlanta Hawks – Jacob Toppin

Boston Celtics – Amari Williams

Chicago Bulls – Antonio Reeves

Cleveland Cavaliers – Jaxson Robinson

Denver Nuggets – Bryce Hopkins

Detroit Pistons – Ugonna Onyenso

Indiana Pacers – Keion Brooks Jr.

Los Angeles Lakers – Adou Thiero

Milwaukee Bucks – Brandon “BJ” Boston

New York Knicks – Lance Ware

Oklahoma City Thunder – Otega Oweh

Orlando Magic – TyTy Washington

Phoenix Suns – Koby Brea, Devin Askew

Portland Trail Blazers – Andrew Carr

Jayden Quaintance, who was drafted last month by the San Antonio Spurs, is still listed as inactive.

I will be very excited to see Otega Oweh showcase his skills for the first time at the professional level, proving to the 40 other players drafted before him that he is the next great Kentucky guard to come out of the program. He’ll get a lot of playing time through this event, and I can’t wait to see every minute of it.

Also, it was fun going down memory lane typing out some of these former Cats’ names. I am still rooting on Koby Brea, Antonio Reeves, Jaxson Robinson, and many others to find their way in the big league. The NBA Summer League is a great chance to do so.

If you plan to watch, all 76 games will be aired on ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU, and Prime Video.
