Big Blue Madness is always a blast, featuring staff introductions, team activities, entertainment, and an open practice for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Over the years, Big Blue Madness has become a tradition surrounding UK hoops, drawing thousands of fans to Rupp Arena and generating excitement ahead of the season.
Along with player and coach introductions, Big Blue Madness occasionally features special guests as well, and last season former Kentucky men’s basketball icon John Wall was introduced with head coach Mark Pope, bringing the crowd to its feet.
The year before, Mark Pope’s first Big Blue Madness, he brought out his former coach when he was a player in Lexington, Rick Pitino.
