With the college basketball season approaching, Kentucky men’s basketball took to SEC Media Day in Birmingham, Alabama. While basketball was naturally the main topic of conversation, the Wildcats’ time on set took an unexpected turn, as food quickly became a popular talking point among the players, Mark Pope, and the interviewers.

Milan Momcilovic discussed what he likes to cook, Malachi Moreno discussed his mom’s famous lasagna, and Zoom Diallo introduced Big Blue Nation to what a lambatarian is, which took up a large chunk of their time on set. Diallo said he became a lambatarian in college, explaining that living alone and cooking for himself motivated him to try something new.

SEC Network’s Dari Nowkhah questioned whether or not a lambatarian was even a real thing, and Diallo swore by it, mentioning that he would look it up after the event and post it. After doing some research, I can assure you that a lambatrian is a real thing. “A person who only and solemnly eats lamb, not any other meat-based products.”

Pope didn’t believe that a lambatarian was a real thing either, but he brought up that, through the power of Big Blue Nation, it would take off and become a trending topic within the fanbase, and that’s the beauty of them. Kentucky’s first exhibition game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, when it hosts Arkansas Little Rock inside of Rupp Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be viewed on SEC Network +.
