The entire Southeastern Conference will gather in Dallas, Texas this week to answer questions and preview the upcoming 2024-25 college football season at the annual SEC Media Days event. These media opportunities will range from July 15-18, with each school and head coach being assigned a certain day. Mark Stoops and Kentucky is set for the final spot, which falls on Thursday afternoon.

As there is every summer, there will be plenty of discussion surrounding the Wildcats’ football program after the never-ending offseason where many players enter and leave, coaching changes are made, and fans speculate what will be defined as success based on the unfolding of the upcoming schedule. Kentucky has a new offensive coordinator, a newly tabbed face-of-the-team in Georgia quarterback transfer Brock Vandagriff, they retained Deone Walker from the portal, and nearly lost Mark Stoops to another program.

This will be the first major news opportunity since the bowl season ended, and will be the last one until Kentucky football hosts its own Media Day at the beginning of August.

The conference also welcome two new programs in Oklahoma and Texas, making the best conference in the sport now even more dominant than ever. While in our world a lot of our concerns center around Kentucky first, there is a lot of moving parts in the SEC as a whole.
