Final Stats In Loss To #5 Florida

Kentucky ends their regular season and last home game of the season with a loss to #5 Florida, 84-77.

It was a game that started off with the Wildcats down 11-0 at home within just the first few minutes, backed by a Kentucky comeback to cut the deficit down to 16-14. From there on, Florida put the foot back on the gas and never let off of it. In what felt like a 9-12 point game the rest of the way, Florida managed their lead all the way to finish line, finishing 8-1 in conference road games this season and taking care of business against essentially everyone in their way.

Otega Oweh would end with a game-high 28 points (17 in the first half) but it wouldn’t be enough to will Kentucky to the win in his last outing in Rupp Arena. Denzel Aberdeen (15) and Mo Dioubate (10) would contribute but their combined 53 points was just too much weight to carry for the team as a whole.

Florida (46%) would just barely out-shoot Kentucky (39%) from the field, having 5 different players reach double figures in scoring. Or in other words, outplaying their competition.

It was a frustrating night, but here are the final stats from the matchup.

This loss now pushes Kentucky’s 2025-26 regular season record to 19-12 overall and 10-8 in conference play. They’ll await their SEC Tournament draw over the next 48 hours and lace up on Wednesday of the conference tournament against someone, shoulder to shoulder, with the worst of the SEC — the place where this team belongs, unfortunately.
